Nuclear: An IRGC deputy commander claimed that a "satellite-controlled" machine gun using "artificial intelligence" and "facial recognition" technology was responsible for the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a leading nuclear scientist.

Judicial: Iran's Supreme Court upheld the death sentence of reformist cleric who had been living in France. The cleric was abducted by the Revolutionary Guards during a trip to Iraq in September 2019 and returned to Iran.
Nuclear: Culprits in the assassination of Fakhrizadeh were arrested, according to an advisor to Majles Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf.
Sanctions: Banks that processed funds used exclusively for humanitarian aid to Iran would not be sanctioned, the U.S. Treasury said.

Sanctions: Iran blacklisted the U.S. ambassador to Yemen, one day after the Trump administration sanctioned Iran's diplomatic envoy to the Houthi rebels.
